for some purposes you want to avoid the linking phrase -????- when linking two concepts. You can do that by holding shift key pressed while dragging the connection line. The same feature doesn't work with the cmap cloud editor. The same could be advisable for the ctrl-shift-drag feature, permitting the creation of direct connections between linking phrases.
