I've used CmapTools since v. 2.x and never ran across this issue until using 5.0.3. Sometimes I can't get access to the styles palette either with command-T or by selecting it via the format menu--it just won't show. Sometimes I've seen it appear under the active Concept map window--I move the window and there it is, but usually it isn't here. I've noticed this behavior on Mac 10.4, 10.5 and Ubuntu 8.0.4 thin client though might be different issue there. I haven't seen a pattern yet though seems to happen more when I'm synchronously editing the map.
