The messed up topic header is confusing maybe, but that's exactly part of the problem/ the thing I don't understand.
I'm on a brand new Win 8 machine and I download 64bit 6.00, get the correct looking .exe, run it - and it's 5.04.01 that is launched with black menus. http://screencast.com/t/QpYEbfky
