Linking phrases and multiple nested nodes

Post by smitracal101 »

Sir,

I am trying to create a literature review map. Whenever I create a link between 2 concepts a linking phrase appears. If I delete that, a gap in the line connecting the 2 concepts remains. How to close the gap?

Secondly, I have not been able to create multiple nested nodes in a map. As soon as I try that, the whole map gets selected for the nested node. Selecting a single node by right clicking and then trying the nested node option gives a greyed out nested node option.

Thanking you for your kind help.

If you select the source node, go to the small box above it that has two arrows. Hold down the Shift key and drag to the destination node. This should provide a line without a linking phrase.

I'm not sure what steps you are taking, but I select the nodes to be nested (usually by clicking the first and Control-clicking the others) and then choose Tools | Nested Node | Create from the menu.
