System won't allow sharing for students

Post by jof4jems »

I decided to use cmapping for my masters students. However, when they try to share a folder with other users they (and I) get the error message:

Failed to share trial for class with one or more (future) users
NullPointerException

or

Failed to accept cmapper
Error while attempting to accept cmapper

This only happened to about half the class, the other half had no problem. They are all using the school's email address. We are having to find another alternative, which I didn't want to do.

In addition, I cannot send a message to my cmappers through the system.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks, Jeanne Freeman

Jeanne, we are sorry about your problems. We are working on resolving both issues.

Meanwhile, if you send us (via msg on this system or email to 'cmapsupport at ihmc.us' a list of the email addresses of the students, and the folder you want to share (name of folder, and on whose home folder it is) we can set it up for you. Email or send us a msg and we'll help you set it up while we fix the bugs.

We've (hopefully) fixed the bugs regarding the sharing of folders. Thanks for sharing the information that helped us find and fix the bugs.
