Is there a way to change what is in the front and what is in the back? Sort of like Microsoft "bring forward/bring backward" option?

Is there any way to edit cmap files in a text editor? For example, is there place where a node's z-level is stored that I could modify manually?

You can export it as CXL and edit it with a text editor. But the editor does not use z-order when displaying. The CXL structure is described in:
