Linux text-mode how to update from v5.03.03 to v5.04?

Post by redhat707 » Mon Aug 09, 2010 12:26 am

What is the recommended approach to upgrading a v5.03.03 linux CMap Server installation to v5.04 in console text-mode when graphic AdminTool is not available?

Stopping CMap Server and running Check_for_Updates doesn't seem to trigger any action or output.

Thanks in advance.

You can run the installer again with v5.04. Settings won't be changed.
Just in case, save the config.txt file under the "bin" directory where the CmapServer is installed and make a backup of the serverRootFolder directory. With these two (file + directory) you can basically restore the CmapServer to the same condition it was if something goes wrong.
