Cmap as API

Post by kirankg » Sat Apr 16, 2016 5:43 pm

Hi,

I'm wondering if the Cmap algorithm is available as an API so I can use it as a service in my application. In other words, I'd send it some text, and the service would analyze and figure out the concept map, and send back a json file that contains concepts and links.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Kiran

There is an API to access the CmapServer (http://cmap.ihmc.us/docs/pdf/CmapServer-HTTP-API.pdf), and the Cmap CXL format is open (http://cmap.ihmc.us/xml/CXL.html).

But no, there is no service to convert text to a Cmap. In fact, we know of no *good* algorithm that can make a *good* Cmap out of a text.

Thanks for the reply. Since my question, I came across this: luma7.com. Perhaps this is the answer?
