CmapServer Roadmap in 2012

Post by massicos »

Hi,

right now we are running CmapServer version 5.04.02. We are planning to upgrade our version. We have checked the release note :

http://cmap.ihmc.us/Download/CmapServerReleaseNotes.php

The next version is about 10 months old (5.04.03). We are wondering when the next version will be out ? We don't want to upgrade and be late of another version after 2 weeks.

Is there a roadmap of the CmapServer ?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

There is no new version coming out any time soon, so go ahead and work with the currently released version

Steve, there may be an upgrade soon to the Windows version of the CmapServer. It won't provide more functionality, but it will allow the program to use over 1.2 GB of memory for large servers (e.g. Public Cmaps). If you are not running a server with tens or hundreds of thousands of resources it shouldn't make any difference.
