iPad Keyboard Shortcut Issues in CmapTools – Are They Supported?

Post by megathermic »

I’ve recently started using CmapTools on my iPad with a Bluetooth keyboard, and I’m finding it much easier to work on my concept maps this way. However, I noticed that certain keyboard shortcuts (like Undo [Cmd+Z], Redo [Cmd+Shift+Z], and Copy/Paste [Cmd+C / Cmd+V]) don’t seem to work in the app.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
  • Tested the keyboard with other apps to confirm the shortcuts work elsewhere.
  • Checked the app settings, but I couldn’t find any options related to keyboard shortcuts.
  • Looked through the user guide, but it didn’t mention anything about iPad keyboard compatibility.
Does anyone know if CmapTools for iPad fully supports external keyboard shortcuts? If so, are there specific shortcuts unique to the app that I should be aware of? Or could this be a bug with the Geometry Dash app?

I’d love to hear from others who use an iPad keyboard with CmapTools. Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!

The absence of common shortcuts like Undo, Redo, and Copy/Paste is a limitation of the current app implementation for iPadOS, which prevents users from getting used to seamless shortcut functionality across apps.

Have you tried using the in-app menu or toolbar to perform actions like Undo, Redo, and Copy/Paste, and do they work that way even if the keyboard shortcuts aren’t responding?

The official documentation and user guides do not provide specific information regarding keyboard shortcut support for the iPad subway surfers version.

iPad keyboard shortcuts in CmapTools are not fully supported. While basic shortcuts like copy, paste, and undo may work, the app doesn’t offer comprehensive keyboard shortcut support as seen in desktop versions. Users may need to rely on touch controls for certain functions or use an on-screen menu for more options.Sprunki Incredibox
