CmapTools error when exporting as image or PDF

If CmapTools gives an error when exporting a Cmap as an image or as a PDF, it is very likely an "out of memory" error. That is, the program ran out of memory when dealing with the Cmap. This may be due to a very large background image, together with having many Cmaps open at the same time. Possible solutions include (a) reducing the size of the background image (reduce the resolution), and (b) increasing the memory allocated for the Java VM that CmapTools uses (see: https://cmap.ihmc.us/docs/cmaptools-faqs#1-6 for instructions).
