OS X 10.7 Lion and CMAP compatibility

CMAPTools v5_04_01 is PowerPC code on OS X, requiring Rosetta to run.

Rosetta is not supported in OS X 10.7 Lion, due out as early as next week.

What are the plans for supporting at least a Universal App, if not a pure Intel Binary?

Or does the West Florida CMap need to be replaced with the Tufts VUE program, which is a Universal Binary? :-)
Not that this would be a good thing - I like CMap a whole lot better.

Hi,
The CmapTools installer required Rosetta, not CmapTools. The latest version available for download (v5.04.02) does not require Rosetta for installation, and runs as 64-bits on 64-bit machines. Try it.

In system profiler, OSX reports cmaptools 5_0_4 as PowerPC ??

The _2 revision is the change from ppc code, I assume. The _01 version was not? Ok. I'll test it thanks

Yes, install the v5.04.02 -- doesn't require Rosetta.

I'm running v5.05.02 server. Any idea if it will survive the upgrade to regular OSX Lion?
What about the server version of Lion?
Cheers.

Hi,
Although we are not yet running any of our production CmapServers (e.g. Public Cmaps, Public Cmaps (2), Cmappers, etc.) under OS X 10.7 Lion, we haven't had any problems while testing. We may wait until 10.7.1 to move IHMC CmapServers that run under OS X to Lion.
