I had some old cmaps that were created using older version of cmaptools. I used to be able to drag them to My Cmaps (Cmaps in my computer) and view them, but now whenever I tried to do so, I only got an error message. could anyone please help me?

Re: unable to open old cmap files
The Cmap format has not changed in many years. Can you send as an attachment to cmapsupport@ihmc.us one of the files so we can look at it?

Re: unable to open old cmap files
My MacBook Pro, on which I had several CMAP files, recently died. I used Time Machine to restore all of my files and applications to a new MacBook Air. Now I cannot locate my old files? Any thoughts about how to get my old CMAP files back?

Re: unable to open old cmap files
There should be a folder named "My Cmap" in your backup. Once you restore it, launch CmapTools, open the Preferences dialogue box (Edit->Preferences in Menu) and make sure that in the "General" tab, the root folder has the path of where your "My Cmaps" is located.

How to recover my CmapTools´files ?
I recently changed my computer. I did not take the precaution of saving the conceptual map files. Is there any way to recover them? I always thought that the files were saved in a cloud, this option is by default or should the files be saved in the cloud?

Re: unable to open old cmap files
If you had your Cmap stored in the Cmap Cloud (you were using the Cmap Cloud tab in the Views window) or in one of the IHMC CmapServers, they will still be there. They are not copied automatically to the Cmap Cloud or to the CmapServers.
