LoadLibrary failed with error 87

Post by Peter »

I have installed Cmaptools 6.04 on Windows 10 pro and i have problem with random crashes. Sometimes when just adding a node other time when clicking in the menu.

Error: LoadLibrary failed with error 87

I am connecting to the computer through Windows RDP. When i google the error i find other apps that have the same problem and it relates to dual graphic cards or remote desktop connections.

Any suggestions to prevent this error other then not using RDP i need to use it during corona.

Thanks Peter

This seems to be an issue with your Windows graphics card driver and RDP, and is not specific to CmapTools.

The solutions suggested are:
1) update your graphics driver
- OR -
2) disable your graphics driver while using RDP (and re-enable when you are done)

Could you please try following the instructions here and let us know if it solves the issue:

I also had the same problem. How did you get the 2017 Radeon beta driver?
