Hello,
I saw that the installer specifies Intel Macs but I do know there is Rosetta 2 to help for Intel complied binaries. Unfortunately isapplesiliconready.com does not have any info for CmapTools.
Bonus: if it works under Rosetta 2 / Apple Silicon, has anyone tried yet on the newest macOS, that is Monterey?

Works fine under M1 (using Rosetta 2) and under Monterey. No problems reported.
Make sure with new versions of macOS that you give CmapTools permissions to access the "My Cmaps" folder.
