Can't save file

Hello,
I have been working on a file for about 5 days. While I was using it the system just jammed and the cursor was stuck on the expanding icon.
I shut the program down, it asked if I wanted to save changes, I hit Yes.
I only have one file and when I open it, it is a blank white page, if I hit the cursor on it it turns black. Its like it isn't opening correctly I would say.
do you have any suggestions. I can't imagine having to start again. :(

Seems like you ended up with a corrupt file. Were you using the Cmap Cloud? If so, we have backups and could look for it. If you were saving locally, using the desktop version, I hope you had a backup. There is no automatic backup copy when saving locally.

It becomes dark when you point the cursor at it. It seems like there's an issue with the opening. Maybe you can provide some advice. Starting all over would be unbearable for me.

Are you using CmapTools in the Cloud or the desktop version? Can you take a screenshot with the dark thumbnail?
