Hi there!
I have been using CmapTools for a while without any problems. However, recently it has become very slow in responding to almost every command, from opening a window to selecting objects, etc. It is nearly impossible to draw a map.
Any suggestion on what could be happening
MacBook Pro
OS 10 El Capitan
RAM 8G
CmapTools 6.01.01

(i.e. what were you doing when the problem occur? were you running another program (application) by the time you have the problem?)

Can't recommend that you upgrade CmapTools because you're using an old version of OS 10.
Two reasons come to mind: You are making very large maps in which case you may need to increase the memory Java is allocated, or other Apps are taking all the CPU. I presume you have tried rebooting your machine, maybe running CmapTools as the only App to see if it is still slow?
